At Covenant, our worship service is meant to be a dynamic inter-generational experience where God’s presence is tangible, and God’s people are Spirit led and filled. We encourage and welcome great diversity of expression, and a sense of freedom rooted in God’s word. Our worship experience is first and foremost God-centered, while also being well rehearsed and unhindered.

 

If you find yourself at home here at Covenant, I would like to specifically invite you to participate in one of the Worship Arts Ministries! If you enjoy singing, playing an instrument, making music in a group or as a solo, you might consider joining us in the Worship Team, the Worship Choir, or as a Special Music Soloist. On the other hand, if you enjoy presenting the gospel through drama, reading scripture aloud, or sharing testimonies, you might consider volunteering for these tasks as well.

Each of these ministries is looking for someone like you! Maybe you have served in the Worship Arts in the past, but are no longer participating. Or, maybe you are new to our family here and haven’t taken the steps to get involved. Whether your passion lies in the Worship Arts Ministry or somewhere else in the church, we hope this year finds you deeply rooted in God’s calling for your life! If Worship is where your heart lies, we hope to see you there!

Worship Choir:  

Our music ministry is an exciting part of our worship of God. We are a church with a rich history, yet our culture is a modern one. How we reconcile these two seemingly conflicting ideas is a challenge faced by all churches. We sing many new songs here, but we do not abandon the hymns and songs of past generations.

Our music exists to facilitate worship, not to perform. During worship, the audience is God, and the congregation plays and sings for him.

Worship is a response to God's love for us - the more we are aware of who God is, the more we can worship him. The atmosphere we try to create is an open one, where you can feel free to worship God in whatever way you want - you can be free to raise your hands, to kneel in worship, to clap and sing loudly with joy to our God, who is worthy of all praise.

If you have a musical skill or talent, there may be a place for you in our music ministry please consider joining us during one of our rehearsals.

Worship Team:

 Our music embraces the best of both tradition and modernity as we glorify God, proclaim God’s Word, and minister to and through God’s people. We deeply experience the call to kingdom service through a community of faith and fellowship, sharing the joyful challenge of giving our best to the Lord with each other. Handbells:

 

The ensemble seeks to bring glory to the Lord through the beauty of their instruments, as well as through fellowship and commitment to one another.

 

 

 

 

 

Prayer is such an important part of our walk of faith.  Prayer is communicating with God both our praise and petitions or needs.  To minister to one another as well as our community, and to follow the principles of God's Word (James 5), we offer times of prayer and intercession for those in need of physical, emotional, and/or spiritual healing.  During our scheduled prayer gatherings and  during and/or following our Communion Services or as a special event service itself, we want to make this ministry of prayer available to those in need.

 

 

Drama Ministry/ScriptureReading/Testimonies:

Our drama ministry is committed to life-changing moments of authentic worship through the arts. Whether it’s a dramatic reading, a drama sketch, or a full-blown musical, the arts are done with the highest level of excellence to bring glory to God!

The drama ministry at Covenant Community Church has been blessed with talent by men, women and children of all ages, who have a heart for the Lord and want to serve Him!

Technical Arts:

Technical Arts Ministry is the behind-the-scenes opportunity to provide audio, video and technical support for worship and other church events.  More than just technicians though, the Technical Arts Group’s mission is found in being servant hearts excelling as one in support of the gospel message. The Technical Arts team shares a passion for using technology to further the mission and to make a difference in changing lives for the Kingdom.  However, it is likewise understood and emphasized that we believe that the “Technical Arts” are only a useful tool if effective in communicating clearly the message of God’s grace and mercy. Technical Arts Volunteers rehearse with the Worship Team on Sunday mornings at 8:30am.
