At various times during the year we have "Mission Moments" during normal worship time to highlight mission trips taken by members of the church.
Big items for the year follow; these include both local mission and foreign mission.
- School supply collection for Dominican Republic (going on now)
- Reports from short term mission trips from the congregation (3 are scheduled so far)
- Food Pantry collections for CCC (one done in January)
- Covenant World Relief and Friends of World Missions
- Christmas Child shoe box gifts (overseas)
- Fund raising to sponsor new house construction in the Dominican Republic (our people have helped there)
- Assistance with sleeping mats for homeless plus blankets to go with them
- Review of various mission related collections: eyeglasses, blankets, pill bottles, egg cartons
- Update on Daisy Johnson's mission -- new construction
- Daisy gift tree
- Collecting coats for West Elementary (W.E. kids)
- Support for Alaska College and KICY radio in Alaska (both Covenant supported for native population)
The Missions bulletin board is located in the narthex near the office and has information about missionaries connected to Covenant Community Church and mission opportunities for individuals.
